Silent Service - C64

Ein neues re.play bei den Pretty Old Pixel. Diesmal steht der Klassiker "Silent Service" von Sid Meier im Mittelpunkt des neusten re.plays. In dieser Folge stelle ich das Intro und die Box vor.

In der 1. Folge mache ich mich mit der Steuerung und dem Trainingseinsatz vertraut. Vor allem Letzteres gestaltet sich viel schwieriger als gedacht.

In der 2. Folge spiele ich die ersten beiden Convoy Actions. Zunächst kommandiere ich die USS Plunger und danach die USS Wahoo und beginne eine Karriere als erfolgreicher U-Boot Kommandant.

In der 3. Folge spiele ich die Missionen 3 und 4 der Convoy Actions. Mit meiner guten alten Bordkanone ziehe ich erfolgreich in die Gefechte und versetzte damit auch Zerstörer in Angst und Schrecken. Zwar etwas unrealistisch, aber dennoch spaßig:-).

In der 4. Folge machen wir einen kleinen Abstecher zu der DOS Version. Diesmal wagt sich Selmer in die Weiten des Pazifiks und stellt sich mutig dem Kampf gegen die japanische Übermacht.

Im Mittelpunkt der 5. Folge steht die Mission 5 der Convoy Actions, die Alexander diesmal auf dem Amiga spielt. Zum ersten mal bekommt die erfolgsverwöhnte Karriere einen Knacks und der anschließende Erfolg bekommt einen bitteren Beigeschmack.

Diesmal spielt Alexander die 6.und 7 Mission der Convoy Actions. Besonders die 7 Mission unterscheidet sich von den bisherigen, da diesmal ein Trägerverband Ziel eines Angriffs ist.

Zum 1. mal wagt sich Alexander auf Hohe See und spielt eine Kriegspatouille. Diese endet in einem Desaster. Und nicht viel besser ergeht es Alexander bei einem weiteren Versuch. Ist es Unvermögen oder war der Seegang schlicht zu hoch?

Die 2. Kriegspatrouillie ist wesentlich erfolgreicher als der 1. Einsatz. Aber bekommt Alexander die Möglichkeit, seinen Erfolg im Heimathafen auch gebührend zu feiern?

In der 9. Folge spielt Alexander zum ersten Mal die NES Version. Dabei probiert er das Tutorial, eine Übungsmission und eine Kriegspatrouillie aus und ist angenehm überrascht über die Schwierigkeitsstufe.
